Bishop Rock's Lighthouse – A Worth-seeing Location
Bishop Rock is most commonly known for its lighthouse. It is situated in the westernmost part of the Isles of Scilly of Great Britain. It has a record in the Guinness Book as the smallest island in the world.
The first lighthouse was made up of iron and washed away due to the storm. The present building was completed in 1858. The visitor visited this place from the top before the construction of the helipad.
When the Isles of Scilly was under the jurisdiction of the John-De-Allet, the felony was kept in this Island with the barley loaves and water until they defeat from death. The shape of the rock on the island is quite similar to a bishop's mitre.
Bishop rock lighthouse was manually operated by the keepers but after 1992, it was converted to automatic operation. The fog signal was stopped on 13 June 2007. Now, this place is under the Trinity House's Planning Centre in Harwich, Essex.
